The choice is yours and only yours. You may either spiral downwards into chaos and random progression towards hedonistic and purely material achievement where true agency and authority over life can only be measured by awards, titles or positions, which are usually achieved at random or through the application of force, or you can take charge of your destiny and actually create something positive, creative and constructive in the world, first internally and then as a guiding light to your fellow human beings through Taoist transformation and the development of harmony.
In my brief experience of fifty-plus years of practicing and teaching Chinese external and internal martial arts and thirty-plus years of practicing and teaching spiritual cultivation, about one in twenty people who began studying with me made it through the first year, with fewer than one in ten of those going on to the second. Of those who completed two years there was another drop of about one in ten.
To some people, the work of real personal transformation is just too demanding. Results seem so very distant and not achievable since there are no direct rewards, badges or levels with which to measure progress. The real issue is that this type of work, which is truly demanding, does not give results with just seven minutes a day or that can be shown to your friends and neighbors after going to lessons for a few months.
It takes at least six months to begin to learn how to practice with any meaningful regularity and from three to ten years to learn how to practice productively every day, which is the only way that real progress can be made. The cultivation and storage of vital energy or Qi is the subtle demonstration of what is offered by the systematic practice of Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan, while the gradual disappearance of negativity is proof of success in the cultivation of virtue through the Direct Path.
Third Crossroads
Here is still another crossroads. Are you willing to commit to our program as the springboard to the rest of your life dedicated to the achievement of the goal of self-transformation, self-realization and the knowledge that you are becoming a true authority over your life?
